Old Waverley Hotel, Edinburgh
Overview: The Old Waverley is a local icon, well known by travelers and local alike. With a superb location, perfect for business as well as the leisure visitor, the property is a real gem. The new renovations are sure to continue the asset's appreciation potential.
Project: The Old Waverley Hotel is a listed building located on a world heritage site, and is ideally located for all visitors to Edinburgh, and comes complete with uninterrupted views of Edinburgh Castle. Its location just a few steps away from Edinburgh's Waverley Train Station and only 30 minutes from Edinburgh Airport (one of the UK's fastest growing airports with new flight paths being added regularly), ensure ease of access for all guests. The Old Waverley Hotel was purchased by Palm Holdings in 2003 as a 66 bedroom hotel. We have converted it to an 85 bedroom property with upgraded bedroom and bathroom facilities, and we are delighted to advise that in June 2011 permission was granted to build additional rooms on the roof, that will be designed in keeping with Edinburgh city skyline and to compliment the historical nature of this fabulous building.
The property is a member of our portfolio of unique and individualistic hotels in Edinburgh, and has led to the creation of "The Edinburgh Collection".
